Best Practices for Managing Energy and Emissions (video interview)

Presented By:
Daniel Arneman, University of North Carolina; Jerry Williams, SAS; Alyssa Farrell, SAS

IN ASSOCIATION WITH

A Guide to Measuring Performance in a Green Economy
The field of energy and emissions management is a rapidly developing practice. But even now, best practices are emerging that could save your organization money and put you on the path for long term sustainable growth.

The topic of energy management is front-of-mind for eco-friendly and cost-conscious organizations. The global demand for electricity and fuel drives the increasing volume of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions.

This panel will discuss real examples of how to prioritize GHG abatement activities, collaborate with your peers to reduce energy consumed in operations, and assess the tradeoffs that are inevitable when deciding which sustainable programs to invest in.

This is the second in a three-part Webcast series focused on sustainability management.

Learning Objectives
Join this panel discussion to learn about:

  • Analysis-driven prioritization of carbon abatement activities
  • Effective communication practices
  • Finding a course of action that has a return on investment
  • Adapting business strategy to accommodate new energy & emissions scrutiny.
  • Optimizing operations to improve green performance
