In this audio seminar, David will look at measures from a critical success factor viewpoint and discuss why some measures will be of interest but never create any change, why some measures will create negative behavior, and how some measures will link daily activities to your organization’s strategic objectives – the ‘El Dorado’ of performance management.
This seminar will show the practical steps that can be carried out by an in-house team when brainstorming measures.
In his ground-breaking work, David Parmenter has proven that many organizations are working with the wrong measures, many of which are incorrectly termed key performance indicators (KPIs). In earlier seminars, he pointed out the importance of knowing your critical success factors and recognizing that there are four different types of performance measures. He also defined the seven characteristics of ‘winning KPIs,’ along with many other breakthroughs in this area.
This seminar is designed to help organizations, from large multi-nationals to those with less than 200 staff, to understand more about fine tuning their performance measures.
Prior to this seminar, attendees should listen to the first 20 minutes of David's audio seminar, Implementing Winning KPIs. It would also be beneficial to have listened to some of his follow-up seminars, including Implementing Winning KPIs - A 12-Step Process, Implementing KPIs in Smaller Organizations, and Finding Your Organization's Critical Success Factors.
