A new study shows corporate leadership is failing to focus on the key factors necessary to remain sustainable over time. The report, co-sponsored by BetterManagement, the Iacocca Institute at Lehigh University, and Greybeard Advisors, is a wake-up call for today’s leaders. The stark reality of modern business is that the average corporation has a short life expectancy. Even today’s most recognizable and successful corporations are likely to face organizational challenges that will threaten their survival at some point in the future.
Input from over 700 business executives and managers provided the data used in the final report. The findings of the study suggest underlying unhealthy conditions exist at organizations represented by almost half the survey respondents. The leadership management survey was based on the corporate health assessment framework presented in Robert Rudzki‘s book Beat the Odds: Avoid Corporate Death & Build a Resilient Enterprise (“BTO”). The survey results will be discussed in detail during this audio seminar.
Learning Objectives
Rudzki compiled the results of the leadership management survey, and will present the survey results and discuss their implications for today’s business leaders. This seminar and the results of the recent survey will challenge participants to consider the strengths and weaknesses of their own organizations.
In this Web seminar, Rudzki will discuss study findings including:
- The link between an organization’s “BTO score” and key factors that affect corporate longevity, such as: employee retention, employee morale, industry ranking and financial performance
- Leadership effectiveness and delivery of a clear and consistent vision
- Competencies required of today’s leaders in an ever more complex world
- Employee retention and the implications for long-term success
- Delivering on the promise of the future and of innovation
- Aligning and energizing the workforce.
Participant level of understanding
This seminar is for business executives who understand that the long-term viability of an organization is more than just about strategy and metrics – it’s about core business principles and looking beyond the next few quarters. This seminar will benefit leaders tasked with developing company strategy and ensuring tactical execution.
