Program content
The stark reality of modern business is that the average corporation has a short life expectancy. Even today’s most recognizable and successful corporations are likely to face organizational challenges that will threaten their survival at some point in the future. Based on firsthand experience and supported by detailed case studies, Robert Rudzki’s Beat the Odds principles can help you avoid slipping from leader to follower to roadkill in today’s tangled and volatile business environment. Notes Lee Iacocca: "Beat the Odds is the playbook every manager should read to be sure of winning beyond the next few quarters."
Learning Objectives
Rudzki, author of Beat the Odds, presents a nine-part, integrated framework for long-term business success. The framework places as much emphasis on little-discussed qualitative elements such as purpose and a get-it-done bias for action as it does on quantitative metrics. Fundamentally a leadership framework, this seminar challenges participants to consider the strengths and weaknesses of their own organizations.
In this Web seminar, Rudzki will discuss principles for organizational survival:
- A nine-element framework for organizational survival and long-term success.
- Examination of the natural shift to managing complexity.
- Discussion of the need to focus on leading for the future.
- Case studies of companies that have succeeded and those that have failed.
- How to respond to the classic “yes, but …” pushback that resonates throughout most organizations.
