Program content
Dr. Peter Turney’s seminar will highlight developments in the fields of ABC and ABM. When first developed, ABC was a costing tool used primarily to accurately allocate manufacturing overhead. Today, ABC is a sustainable analytic method that creates business intelligence for a wide range of applications in service and government organizations as well as manufacturing companies.
In this celebration of the second edition of Common Cents, Dr. Turney will review the evolution of ABC and ABM over the 15 years since the publication of the first edition. He will highlight developments in the field such as time-based ABC, resource planning, and customer profitability. He will also talk about new ABM applications that are made possible by these developments.
Participant level of understanding
