Program content
Public schools across the United States are successfully using new technologies in innovative ways in order to meet the needs of students. The effective use of technology continues to be a key component of the U.S. Department of Education's mission to ensure equal access to education and to promote educational excellence throughout the nation. As public school systems strive to meet the mandates of No Child Left Behind, tremendous pressure is being placed on school administrators to turn around low-performing schools, improve teacher quality and increase student achievement.
Discover how the Poway Unified School District is successfully using data warehousing to meet this mandate. Data warehousing reports supply the information the district needs to identify achievement gaps so that policies can be designed to narrow them. Educators can pull data from many sources and gain insight into where and how improvements should be made to increase student achievement. By utilizing data warehouse technology the school district now has the foundation for quality information and a holistic view that will help them meet this important mandate.
