Program content
Process-based management is a management approach that governs the mindset and actions in an organization. It is a philosophy of how an organization manages its operations, and is aligned with, and supported by, the vision, mission and values of the organization. It is the basis on which decisions are made and actions are taken. This session will focus on the findings from Process-based Management case studies and provide details on the Best Practices study to be launched in January 2004. The findings will highlight specific key learnings that organizations need to consider in pursing a process-based management strategy.

The Best Practices study will examine the techniques and approaches used by leading companies to implement Process-based Management. The focus will be on the holistic view of managing processes along with the organizational and cultural changes required to make a successful transition to Process-based Management.

Pat Dowdle and Jerry Stevens who lead the research efforts for CAM-I’s Process Management Interest Group will conduct the session and provide insights from their field research and case studies. Joining the session will be Dean Creed from Santee Cooper, who will provide insights from a case study company.
