About Featured Speaker Bill Hostmann
Bill Hostmann is a research director in Gartner Research. Prior to joining Gartner, Mr. Hostmann worked for over 15 years in the enterprise software market. As director of marketing at an early Java application server company, he was involved in the writing of the original Java EJB 1.0 specification.

Mr. Hostmann has a B.S. degree in electrical engineering (highest honors) from the University of Portland, an M.S. degree in computer science and engineering from the Oregon Graduate Institute and an M.B.A. from the University of Oregon.
